This work describes the Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) technique, from its clinical applications to the post-processing of the images in order to realize white matter fiber tractography. In particular, the aim of this work is to provide a user guide of the IntelliSpace Portal Software (Philips) for medical imaging technologists.
Brain anatomy and function are briefly presented as well as the principles of diffusion imaging and several examples of white matter tracts are illustrated. |
