Résumé : |
This study is about the dosimetry of patients for a whole body exam with 18F-FDG in PET-CT at Erasme hospital. At first, two databases that integrate 300 patients each will be made. The aim is to confront two different procedures to observe the evolution of the administered activity to the patient. A quantitative and qualitative analysis will be made for each database from which a technical anomaly with mass activity will be revealed.
Secondly, the study will address a cumulative of doses. Indeed, during a PET-CT exam, the patient is subject to two types of rays: the gamma rays and the X-rays. The idea is to convert these rays to a common unit to compare the intake of each part of rays. Finally, the first steps will make it possible to obtain some results that can be compared with Belgian diagnostic reference level. Indeed, the PET-CT department has an average of 4,1 MBq/kg of administered activity that is a little bit higher than the reference value that is proud at 3.8 MBq/kg. The average of the PET-CT will be also compared to some European diagnostic reference level values and will reveal that Belgium has the lowest diagnostic reference level. |
