Résumé : |
Nonunion and malunion are the most common causes of pain after hindfoot fusion, but adjacent segment disease, soft tissue pathology, or ankle instability should be not overlooked
Nonunion revision can be challenging, and appropriate structural autograft or allograft, biologic adjuncts, and more robust fixation techniques should be used. Corrective rotational, wedge, and/or calcaneal slide osteotomy must be carefully planned and executed at the apex of the deformity for treating hindfoot malunion. Managing patient expectations before and after hindfoot fusion or revision procedures is imperative. |
