Résumé : |
Metatarsus adductus (MA) predisposes patients to hallux valgus (HV), lesser toe deformity, and metatarsalgia.
Clinical recognition of associated deformities influences operative intervention strategies and algorithmic surgical correction steps to ensure positive patient outcomes. While limited long-term follow-up has yet to establish a defined threshold regarding the degree of MA attributed to the increased risk of HV deformity recurrence, an isolated standard distal osteotomy in the setting of severe MA has a high likelihood HV recurrent deformity. |
