Résumé : |
When treating talar neck and body fractures, adequate visualization of the talar neck via bilateral approaches is essential in avoiding rotatory or varus deformity.
In cases of medial comminution of the talar neck, lag screws must be avoided and the use of single or double plates should be considered depending on fragment size. Impaction of the medial facet of the talus or calcaneus (sustentacular fractures) must be addressed to avoid hindfoot varus. A Schanz screw introduced into the calcaneal tuberosity is instrumental in realigning traumatic shortening and varus/valgus deformity of the heel. When using a lateral calcaneal plate, it must not be bent along its longitudinal axis. |
