Résumé : | Running provides an inexpensive form of moderate-vigorous physical activity in order to improve cardiac (Petrovic-Oggiano et al., 2010), metabolic (Williams, 2014) and mental (Ghorbani et al., 2014) health. However, running also increases the risk of musculoskeletal pathology, with prevalence of injury suggested to range from 18% to 92% (Wen, 2007; van Gent et al., 2007). Persistence of running related pain may be driven by both physical and non-physical (e.g. psychosocial profile) factors, providing a range of considerations when developing an optimal management plan. |
