Résumé : | Just as doctoral level candidates 'love' higher education and the future choices and possibilities this opens up to them, such as reinforcing technical and research skills, elevating in-demand skills in academic writing and technology, this in turn increases feelings of achievement, control and empowerment. However, candidates aren't all in agreement as to what exactly they are supposed to be loving. In fact, if there is one thing that is common among candidates of higher education, it is agreement/disagreement about academic writing. If there is a call to be questioned, one can be sure academics have to know how and why to design quality candidates by questioning candidates' capacity to process 'academic language' as well as 'perceptual language'. Stephen Hawking's own concern about significance and analysis of language motivates me to write about academics and candidates of health care sciences (mainly midwifery science) in this article. |
