Résumé : |
The aim of the study was to verify the accuracy of the fusion between US and PET/CT. A retrospective study was performed on a total of 33 patients with hepatic lesions. All patients underwent a PET / CT dating up to two months before the biopsy. Fusion was considered perfect -when the lesion was visible at its maximum diameter in both modalities, moderate if the lesion was visible in both modalities but not at its maximal diameter and unacceptable if the lesion was visible only in one modality. Two radiologists analyzed the images and the concordance was calculated according to the Cohen test.
According to observer A, 15 patients were classified as moderate and 18 as perfect. For observer B, 1 patient was classified as unacceptable, 15 as moderate and 17 as perfect fusion. The Cohen weighted kappa obtained is 0.461 indicating an average chord. To conclude, US fusion with PET-CT in real time can be successfully performed during biopsy. The concordance is average but only between moderate - perfect fusion. The last two levels are acceptable to be based on fusion during biopsy. |
