Résumé : |
- Early surgical intervention decreases reulceration and amputation rates, which in turn decrease morbidity and mortality.
- Percutaneous Achilles tendon lengthening and exostectomy can be performed in stable rocker-bottom deformity. - Combining the surgical techniques of minimally invasive surgery and the superconstruct with advances in implant technology facilitates large deformity correction through percutaneous incisions. - In the management of diabetic foot disease, the role of the orthopedic surgeon within the multidisciplinary team is fundamental to correct deformity and abnormal biomechanics. - Neuropathic minimally invasive surgeries facilitate day surgery procedures with regional anesthesia, which are beneficial to the recovery of planned services after the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. |
