| Résumé : | Prescribed radiotherapy to cancer patients is an essential choice for the treatment of a lesion. In the case of small basins, such as the bladder, the shape and size vary depending on the level of filling. In fact, the volumetric variations in bladder and rectum filling influence the distribution of the prescribed dose to the target organs and thus hamper the AROs. This work aims to (1) present a systematic review of prostate cancer research by focusing on the constraints of maintaining a more or less consistent filling of the bladder and rectum to achieve the goal of radiotherapy, and (2) to analyze the data of a retrospective study of 12 prostate cancer patients treated with CBCT (20 fractions). The bibliographic analysis shows a great diversity of research works interested in the treatment of small basins, in terms of volumes, doses, techniques and recommendations. The retrospective results show a great inter- and intra-individual variability of the bladder volumes of the 12 patients during planning CT and during the treatment sessions. We recommend specific individual intention to mitigate post-treatment effects. |
