Résumé : |
Key points:
Dynamic information regarding both acute and chronic (or repetitive) foot and ankle sports injuries can be obtained from static imaging studies, including loading patterns in the setting of overuse injuries. Stress or loaded (weight-bearing) imaging studies provide an objective evaluation of the degree of instability. Absolute measurements and cutoff values for radiographic evaluation of a potentially unstable joint in the foot and ankle should be used with caution; comparison to the contralateral side is more reliable. Imaging findings always should be considered in conjunction with the clinical findings for the most accurate diagnosis in the setting of foot and ankle instability. |
