Résumé : |
At a time when new therapeutic approaches are emerging, horse-assisted therapy is enteringthe panel of mediated therapies. Its approach is part of a desire to provide care given by professionals in the field of mental health, through the horse. This type of device is implemented for patients from all walks of life, most of whom are under prescription or medical advice. However, by its originality and by its reality, horse-assisted therapy is candidate for any type of problem. Through this study, we will try to highlight this modern therapeutic approach, after traumatic dissociation, resulting from a traumatical event. We will try to understand to what extent
horse-assisted therapy is able to defuse this pathological reaction. To this end, we will base ourselves on a theoretical model, engaged in the understanding of psychotraumatic functioning, using a therapeutic application with the horse. In other words, through the relational experience with the horse, the creation of new healthy patterns can emerge. In the long term, it is a question of allowing the patient to access his emotional and bodily consciousness, in order to begin psychotherapeutic work and to treat trauma. With the help of five interviews with professionals from the hippotherapeutic environment, we will try to learn more about the reality on the ground. This approach is part of the desire to understand the interest, the benefits, the limits, as well as the contraindications of this treatment in the context of traumatic dissociation. Thus, in order to respond to our initial problem, we will establish a link between theoretical research and the information obtained during the interviews. |
