Objectives: The objective of this study is to reference the different types of interventions to treat borderline personality disorder, potentially used by occupational therapists.
Method: A search of the literature was carried out. She is studying papers presenting a systematic and / or qualitative review and / or mixed study published in the last ten years. This study was conducted on six databases. Results: The eligibility criteria made it possible to identify 15 articles out of 11,858. The qualitative synthesis of the data highlighted several interventions that could be applicable in the treatment of borderline personality. The main ones used are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Schematic Therapy and Cognitive or Mental Based Therapy and Daily Functioning with Borderline Disorder (FAB). Other interventions also emerge, such as non-manual psychotherapy, brief adlerian psychodynamic psychotherapy, interpersonal therapy and art therapy. Conclusion: This research reveals that psychotherapy improves the quality of life, a priority concept in occupational therapy intervention. Other interventions are also available to deal with other, more specific skills. |
