Freiberg disease is an uncommon disease with variable presentations over a wide age range.
• Treatment options must take into consideration the patient’s age, symptoms, stage of pathology, and overall foot mechanics. • Despite significant radiographic findings, patients are often asymptomatic and require no treatment or modest nonsurgical management. • When symptoms warrant, and surgery is proposed, there is no clear consensus based on a limited amount of studies which option is best. |
